DocNomads alumni wins Golden Dragon in Krakow Film Festival
Matteo Gariglio, a DocNomads alumnus from Switzerland, won the Golden Dragon Award at the International Short Film Competition of the 57th Krakow Film Festival (Poland), with the documentary film “En La Boca”, a poignant testimony of a mother’s love for her son in spite of everything.
The jury, under the chairmanship of Agnieszka SmoczyĆska, awarded the Golden Dragon to the director for the realistic and respectful depiction of the intimacy between family members, living in poor and dangerous conditions. The film was also given the nomination for the European Film Award in the short film category.

Synopsis:
The Molina family live in poor surroundings of Boca Juniors, a famous football stadium in Buenos Aires. The family members earn their living selling fake tickets for football matches, which is why they often come into conflict with the law. The elder of their family observes their illegal dealings with anxiety and she is trying hard to give their home the appearance of normality. Unfortunately, a tragedy is inevitable.
